“Rock of Ages”

Break out the spandex and massive wigs (and ignore the weak movie version) for the local premiere of this celebration of classic rock. March 10-April 1 Theatre on the Square Details

“Nature Unleashed: Inside Natural Disasters”

Created by the folks at The Field Museum in Chicago, this touring interactive exhibition looks at the way earthquakes, hurricanes, volcano eruptions and other batten-down-the-hatches events shape the world.  March 11-May 29 Indiana State Museum Details

“La Mer”

Debussy’s take on the deep blue sea is performed by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra led by guest conductor Jun Markl. The rest of the nautically focused mix includes Britten’s “Four Sea Interludes,” Elgar’s “Sea Pictures,” and Ravel’s “Une barque sul l’ocean.” Mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnston is guest soloist.
