Marsh Supermarkets and its customers have contributed $100,000 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.

The homegrown chain, a division of Florida-based Sun Capital Partners, collected part of the gift in $1, $3 and $5 increments from customers at its 97 stores in Indiana and Ohio.

The company added its own, unspecified donation to reach the $100,000 milestone.

Meanwhile, The Kroger Co.’s Central Division and students from Indianapolis Public School 46 raised more than $106,000, mostly from Kroger customers and employees, in a campaign that ran from Jan. 17 to Feb. 28.•
