IBJ Letters To The Editor

I agree that one should hold owners, co-founders and CEOs to higher standards, but Jim Irsay’s driving while intoxicated charge is personal, not business, meaning the Colts should not be penalized by the NFL one iota.

Irsay’s going to a Betty Ford-type place is the resolution to this issue. If Irsay says, “I am not leaving rehab until doctors say I am good to go,” then end of story.

Beyond that, this issue is just the noise of the NFL’s image, branding, public relations and money.

John R. Gibbs,
