Indianapolis police officers are now treating the search for a missing 15-year-old student as a case of a runaway. Mohammed “Karim” Azizi is a foreign exchange student from Afghanistan who was in Indianapolis this week for the FFA’s annual convention with an FFA chapter from Ohio. Police say Azizi went missing around 8:45 p.m. Thursday near Monument Circle. Before he disappeared, he reportedly sent a text message to members of his group that he was “going down now.” Many took that as meaning he was leaving the steps of the monument, but they now believe that was his way of saying he was leaving.
