MBA programs at three Indiana business schools are among the top 100 worldwide, according to rankings released Monday by Financial Times.

Purdue University's Krannert School of Management ranked 54th worldwide and ninth among U.S. public institutions. Indiana University's Kelley School of Business ranked 57th and 10th, respectively.  University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business  was 71st worldwide.

“We are particularly proud of our status as a top-10 public U.S. school,” Krannert School Dean Richard A. Cosier said in a statement. “We believe that recent changes in our curriculum, which allow students to utilize their classroom knowledge in applied business settings under faculty supervision, will help make our program even stronger.”

Including both public and private institutions in the United States, Purdue ranked 28th, IU 29th, and Notre Dame 40th.

Financial Times surveys graduates three years after they have completed their MBA degrees to assess career progression and salary growth. The rankings are based on data collected from alumni and business schools.     

The criteria used in the rankings are grouped into three areas: alumni salaries and career development; diversity and international reach of the business school and its MBA program; and research capabilities of each school.
