Robbery attempt causes taxi crash

A cab driver said two men tried to rob him Monday night, causing him to crash into a Lawrence home. The driver picked up two men on the south side of Indianapolis near Troy Avenue and Pennsylvania Street. As they neared the destination, the men began wrestling with the driver in an attempt to take his money. During the struggle, the driver lost control of the wheel and crashed into the bedroom of a home in the 4800 block of Leone Drive. The cab driver suffered slight injuries. A man inside the home was not injured. Lawrence police are looking for the suspects, who fled the scene.
