Indiana nears 1M mark in swine-flu vaccinations

December 31, 2009

State health officials say nearly a million swine flu vaccinations have been given in Indiana.

The state Department of Health said about 975,000 H1N1 vaccinations had been given and recorded into a state database as of Tuesday.

About 60 percent of the people who've received swine flu vaccinations in the state are between six months and 24 years of age.

Indiana's weekly swine flu report said there were no confirmed influenza-related deaths in the state last week. So far this year, 35 people have died in Indiana from swine flu.
