Forbes magazine has named Evansville-based Old National Bank the nation’s 18th-best-performing bank.

In an online article titled “America’s Best and Worst Banks” published Dec. 30, Forbes cited Old National’s 1:9 ratio of loans to non-performing loans and its 91-percent ratio of reserves to non-performing loans. Forbes’ rankings were based on research from Charlottesville, Va.-based SNL Financial.

“This is a tremendous validation of Old National’s strength and stability from one of the world’s foremost business and financial publications,” said Old National CEO Bob Jones. “We are honored by this prestigious recognition and the dedication to exceptional client service that it represents.”•
