Carmel-based corrugated food-packaging products maker CPS Inc. said Monday it will expand into neighboring Westfield by establishing manufacturing operations in an existing, 64,800-square-foot plant.
CPS will begin hiring manufacturing and warehouse workers in July and expects to create 22 jobs by 2013.
The company, which makes cake pads, circle trays and pizza boxes, will invest more than $1.5 million to lease and equip the facility at 17435 Tiller Court.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered CPS up to $100,000 in performance-based tax credits based on the company’s job-creation plans. The city of Westfield will consider additional property-tax abatement.
Founded in 1994, CPS’ supplies its products to national supermarket chains, food manufacturers and bakery wholesalers.
