Daniels signed the business cooperation agreement Monday with the leader of Zhejiang Province, located on the east coast of China south of Shanghai. The document pledges to develop further business links between Indiana and Zhejiang.
A dozen Indiana companies also signed business cooperation agreements with Chinese counterparts during the Indiana-Zhejiang Investment and Trade Symposium in downtown Indianapolis on Monday.
Indiana and Zhejiang have been sister states since 1987. Daniels says focusing Indiana interests on one province is more likely to yield long-lasting relationships and business opportunities.
