Emergency crews were dispatched to Lawrence Apostolic Church, 6202 Sunnyside Road, at 6:35 a.m. Thursday after receiving reports of smoke filling the building. Firefighters extinguished the blaze by 7 a.m. Authorities said there were children in the church’s daycare at the time, but that everyone exited safely with no injuries.
