Grants
Twenty-four not-for-profit organizations and 33 high school libraries in Marion County were awarded more than $1.1 million in grants from the Indianapolis Foundation and its Library Fund.

Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art received a $120,000 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for improvements to its collections storage vault.

United Way of Central Indiana received a $3,000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation to support its’ ReadUP Corps tutoring program.

In Recognition
Seth Bollier received a $5,000 scholarship from the Royal Neighbors of America.

Thao Nguyen, Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP, was selected to be Practitioner-in-Residence at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.

Jane R. Williams, IUPUI School of Science, was honored with the 2013 Glenn W. Irwin Jr. M.D. Experience Excellence award.

Dr. Kumaresan E. Sandrasegaran and Dr. Temel Tirkes, Indiana University School of Medicine, received the Honored Educator Award from the Radiological Society of North America.

Kelly Shea has been noted as one of the travel industry’s top experts listed in the “2013 A-list” in Travel+Leisure magazine.•
