After the last election, nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to the state’s opinions on our state of education.

It appears as though half the state wants more charter schools and the other half wants more funding for public education.

The governor’s ideas seem to do nothing for public education except strip them of any money they have while funneling more and more money to charter schools. It seems that we have policy being made by people that are not looking outside of Indianapolis and listening to those with deep pockets.

How do we simply forgive millions of dollars of loans to charter schools while public schools are being stripped of more money?

Also, what is the rationale behind the governor’s board on education? And how does he justify the huge salaries being paid to this new panel? This is possibly the most insulting thing he’s done yet to destroy education in this state.

Public schools need support.
