Eugene Hollers, 58, suffered burns on 85 percent of his body in the fire that claimed his Spiceland home. Hollers had tried to save his wife, Rita, from the blaze before neighbors held him back. Rita perished in the fire. Eugene was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, where he died on Monday.
