The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and the Residence Inn by Marriott, both off the Sam Jones Expressway exit of Interstate 70 on the city’s southwest side, recently completed extensive renovations.

Though hotel officials declined to say how much the renovations cost, those familiar with the projects said the combined work represents a multimillion-dollar investment.

The Fairfield Inn renovations include an updated exterior and a large glass entrance. The lobby now has an open design that Fairfield officials said allows guests to more easily locate the angled front desk. Featured are a natural stone hearth, an updated breakfast and meeting area, a work center, and the 24/7 Corner Market.

The extended-stay Residence Inn by Marriott completely renovated its 95 suites, public spaces, and Circle City Boardroom. Improvements include updated kitchens outfitted with full-size refrigerators and stainless steel appliances.

Rooms now come with larger workspaces, free high-speed Internet access, more electrical outlets, 37-inch flat-screen televisions, and more storage space in bathrooms.•
