Fishers-based Clarke Engineering Services plans to invest $2.1 million in a new headquarters, creating as many as 29 jobs by 2012.

Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered the firm up to $300,000 in performance-based tax credits, and the town of Fishers will provide property tax abatements. State officials announced the expansion plans Monday evening.

Founded in 1997, Clarke Engineering works with clients—primarily in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries—to find, install and integrate equipment. It also offers project-management services.

The company currently has 52 workers overall, including one who oversees an office in Cincinnati.

Clarke plans to begin hiring workers with engineering and automation expertise immediately in Fishers as it moves from 9114 Technology Drive into a 31,000-square-foot facility at 9100 Fall View Drive.
