A Washington-based manufacturer of beverage-dispensing systems is set to move its production facility to Indianapolis and create 40 jobs if it receives property-tax abatements from the city.

The city’s Metropolitan Development Commission is scheduled to hear the request from GrinOn Industries LLC in Monsanto, Wash., on Wednesday. MDC staff already has recommended approval of a three-year property tax abatement.

GrinOn said it is prepared to move its production operations to a facility at 760 Winton Drive in the Park 100 industrial park on Indianapolis’ northwest side.

The company plans to invest $2.5 million in manufacturing and information technology equipment to increase production capabilities, and to create 40 jobs at an average wage of $17 an hour.

GrinOn uses what it calls the Bottoms Up Draft Beer Dispensing System to serve the alcoholic beverages faster.

The system, which fills cups at a rate of up to nine times faster than traditional beer taps, filled 56 beers in one minute—setting the world record in January for “fastest beer-dispensing system,” the company said on its website.

GrinOn would save $49,569 in property taxes over the life of the three-year abatement if its granted.
