Carmel-based Eleven Fifty is expanding into Fishers.

The coding academy and consulting firm has agreed to lease 2,742 square feet of space for one year at the new Launch Fishers facility at 12175 Visionary Way.

Eleven Fifty will pay $4,000 per month for the space with room for up to 30 people, according to the lease agreement.

The Fishers Redevelopment Commission approved the lease Wednesday.

Brandon Dickinson, director of economic development for Fishers, told redevelopment commission members the lease price is comparable for the area.

“It’s really a neat opportunity with Eleven Fifty,” Dickinson said. “It’s definitely exactly what we envisioned.”

In June, Eleven Fifty committed to hiring 92 people in exchange for more than $1.3 million in economic incentives from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. The company, which has a not-for-profit training arm and a for-profit services arm, also said at that time it planned to spend $954,000 expanding its operations in Hamilton County.

City officials expect Launch Fishers to move from its current location in the basement of the Hamilton East Public Library into the new 51,571-square-foot facility by November.

The city purchased the former Deca Financial Services LLC building for $3.1 million earlier this year to triple the amount of space for Launch Fishers.

The co-working entrepreneurial program started in fall 2012 and now has more than 500 members.
