As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowTribune Broadcasting Co. has tapped the news director at its Fox affiliate in Grand Rapids, Mich., to fill the same position at Fox59 in Indianapolis, the media company announced Tuesday.
Kerri Cavanaugh will take over the news director position at WXIN-TV Channel 59 and sister station WTTV-TV Channel 4 on June 17.
She’ll replace Lee Rosenthal, who oversaw a major expansion of Fox59’s news programming before leaving for KTVU-TV Channel 2 in San Francisco in April.
Cavanaugh has been news director at WXMI-TV in Grand Rapids since 2010. Prior to that, she led news efforts at Tribune Broadcasting’s WSFL-TV in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The University of Alabama graduate previously held news positions at Florida stations in Tampa and West Palm Beach, and in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
