LEADING QUESTIONS: Small-biz tips from finance whiz

May 26, 2010

Welcome back to IBJ’s new video feature, “Leading Questions: Wisdom from the Corner Office.” Every week, we sit down with one of central Indiana’s top bosses and talk shop about their industry and the habits that lead to success.

Jean Wojtowicz, owner and president of Cambridge Capital Management Corp., has helped fund and develop more than 1,200 small Indiana companies through non-traditional capital sources, including the Small Business Administration's 504 loan program. She's finely attuned to the concerns of small businesses, having grown up in Wisconsin with a mother and father who were both successful entrepreneurs. In the video below, Wojtowicz, 52, provides advice for small-business owners gleaned from both the board room and the dinner table.

In the video below, Wojtowicz reveals more lessons learned from her parents' successful partnership—both in business and in marriage—and how she explained to her daughter (then in preschool) her career as an entrepreneur who helps entrepreneurs.
