Indianapolis-based MainGate Inc. announced Tuesday that it has signed a three-year agreement with Lucas Oil Products Inc. to help the company sell its merchandise.
As part of the agreement, MainGate has developed the LucasOilGear.com website to sell apparel and novelties, including T-shirts and outerwear featuring the Lucas Oil Stadium, Lucas Oil and Lucas Oil Racing Series brands. The merchandising site launched Aug. 6.
Native Hoosier Forrest Lucas founded the California-based specialty oil products company in 1988. In 2008, he paid $121.5 million for a 20-year naming rights deal for the Indianapolis Colts’ home stadium.
MainGate was founded in 1963 and has contracts with numerous professional sports teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, to help market their merchandise.
