We're losing art of letter-writing

November 3, 2008
Alas! We're losing art of letter-writing. Good for [Mike Redmond] for writing this much-needed [Oct. 20 column]. As a writer, I am constantly bemoaning the fact that no one writes real letters anymore. I believe that as civilized as we may believe our society is, we are losing a significant aspect of any legacy we hope to leave behind by replacing thoughtful written communication with the clipped and abbreviated language of texting.

Bravo for putting it out there!
