The frenzied housing market characterizing 2013 has cooled and likely will settle into historical norms, said F.C. Tucker Co. President Jim Litten. Most of the buyers who wanted to buy, but had been renting or living with parents, by now have jumped off the sidelines to take advantage of low mortgage rates.•

The relative scarcity of cars in Center Township is likely due to its walkability and lesser need for vehicles, but also smaller and less-affluent families, said Drew Klasik, an analyst at the Indiana University Public Policy Institute. The inverse is the case in the suburbs.•
