A little more than four years ago, our community came together like never before. Thanks to you, thanks to leaders from across our central Indiana, thanks to more than 400 Indiana companies and more than 10,000 workers, and thanks to Sidney and Lois Eskenazi and hundreds of generous donors, the new Sidney & Lois Hospital and Eskenazi Health is here for you.

We are deeply grateful to our community for every word and act of support over the last four years—from Election Day in 2009 to our ribbon cutting and public dedication on Nov. 16 to the opening of the new Eskenazi Health campus on Dec. 7.

You made Eskenazi Health possible, and we will strive continually to more than reciprocate that support, to ensure your health and the health of central Indiana.

We are humbled by the outpouring of support this project has received. We sought to deliver a new hospital to meet the health needs of our community and then some. We sought to achieve diversity participation in construction, to create an energy-efficient facility to protect our environment, and to enhance the wellness and lives of our patients and all who pass through Eskenazi Health.

We are grateful that the energy and effort of so many have made this vision a reality, and even more so we look forward to the positive impact this new facility will have on our community as a place that is welcoming to all.

Most of all, though, we are grateful.
