ITT failed at properly educating its students while promoting fantastical job opportunities [Feds to blame for ITT collapse, Oct. 10]. Most “private” educational facilities provide less than stellar graduates. Don’t believe me, ask the former students who have not received the appropriate level of training to be prepared for real world opportunities.

ITT was a sham. For Todd Rokita to come out blaming the federal government is a joke. That is such a partisan position. Todd, what about all the federal dollars that propped up ITT all of these years to provide inferior and over-priced education to veterans?

It’s not a leftist conspiracy behind the bankruptcy. It’s ITT’s drive for profits over job placement that sunk the corporation. Why should we continue to artificially prop up these private institutions? Good riddance to ITT. Hopefully other inferior providers of private education will soon follow.
