Indiana University on April 15-17 will present what might be the most ambitious conference all year on U.S.-China business cooperation.

So far, more than 50 speakers from the United States and China are lined up for "U.S.-China Business Cooperation for the 21st Century: Opportunities and Challenges for Entrepreneurs."

Try saying that in Mandarin.

The first day of the free conference will be at University Conference Center, 850 W. Michigan St. The remainder will be held in Bloomington at the Indiana Memorial Union.

Last year, Indiana companies exported $930 million in goods to China, compared with $295 million in 2004, according to federal data.

"This topic has considerable immediate relevance to current fiscal issues and the importance of U.S.-China relations, and we expect that both sides will learn much from the experiences of the other," said IU President Michael McRobbie.
