Indiana excise police say officers will be watching partiers to make sure public drinking doesn't get out of hand during the Super Bowl in Indianapolis.

Cpl. Travis Thickstun old WISH-TV that many restaurants that serve alcohol will expand their seating outside as festivities ramp up to the big game. Thickstun said there's no law against anyone 21 or older walking around outside with a beer.

Kilroy's general manager Chris Burton said customers will be able to leave the downtown bar with a beer if they want.

State law regulating Sunday alcohol sales remain in effect on Feb. 5. That means alcohol can only be sold for immediate consumption.

Thickstun said the excise police will have several officers working downtown during the festivities, focusing on underage drinking and public intoxication.
