Over the objections of two state senators from the area, the Senate narrowly passed legislation Tuesday that would open up the bidding for a $500 million casino in northeast Indiana.
NCAA President Charlie Baker reaffirmed his support for expanding March Madness from 68 teams — the current size of the men’s tournament since 2011 and the women’s tourney since 2022.
A Martin University spokesperson told IBJ that proceeds from the sale of university assets “will be applied toward outstanding obligations, including past debts and employee payroll.”
