Indianapolis software developer Salesvue LLC plans to expand sales and marketing nationally after securing $3 million in venture capital, the company announced Tuesday morning.

Salesvue has 20 employees today. It expects to hire 10 people by the end of 2014, with most new positions being in sales and marketing.

Cultivation Capital, based in St. Louis, led the investment round, which also included funding from Salesvue president and CEO Bill Johnson and a handful of other private investors.

Salesvue started in 2006 as Jesubi LLC before rebranding itself last year. The company develops software that helps clients manage and monitor sales calls. Salesvue's cloud-based application is used by companies such as Angie's List and Verdasys.

“Prospecting is the ‘wild West’ of sales; each rep sells their own way, and managers don’t have insight into what works,” Johnson said in a prepared statement. “Salesvue adds structure and process to prospecting, delivering insight into which selling activities grow the pipeline.

“This investment will give us the resources to build awareness of Salesvue and drive growth throughout North America.”
