Annual call for women’s suits takes on new urgency

Dress for Success Indianapolis is once again asking professional women to comb their closets for a spare suit.

This year, "Send One Suit Week," April 12-18, will support an increased number of women looking for work, and replenish supplies
at the Meridian Street boutique, where donations are scant.

Dress for Success helps women who are trying to enter the work force by helping them dress properly for interviews and for
their new jobs. Women can also get ongoing support.

Dress for Success reported a 61-percent jump this March over last March in the number of clients referred to it by unemployment
benefits offices. And 10 percent more of its clients come with some post-high-school education.
