Indianapolis-based Angie’s List plans to offer an app by San Francisco-based vWorkApp that will allow members to interact more conveniently with service providers.
The app will be rolled out in February and allow members to conduct such functions as requesting quotes, ordering services and making payments.
“We will be giving our members the same convenient, mobile experience that they have grown to expect when they are arranging car service or a table at their favorite restaurants,” Angie’s List CEO Bill Oesterle said in a prepared statement.
vWorkApp develops a number of cloud-based tools for service companies to help them become more efficient.
The 19-year-old Angie’s List posts consumer reviews of everything from electricians to plumbers. It has increasingly sought a role in the actual transaction between consumers and service providers, as an additional source of revenue.
