Carmel-based Polleo Systems Inc., a provider of cloud computing services, announced Wednesday that it plans to add 36 jobs by 2016 as part of a $2.5 million expansion.

The company, at 736 Hanover Place near City Center Drive and South Rangeline Road, said the investment will allow it to expand its cloud platform as well as lease and equip additional space.

Polleo Systems said it will begin hiring engineers, account executives and technicians immediately.

Founded in 2011 by Talbott Sumners, Polleo provides cloud and other technology services to small and mid-size businesses.

The company also is opening an Orlando, Fla., office.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. said it will provide the company up to $300,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $40,000 in training grants based on the company’s job-creation plans in Carmel.
