Massage Envy, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based franchisor, plans to nearly triple its Indiana presence by opening nine new locations
within the next year.
The chain said on Tuesday that five of the centers should be in the Indianapolis metropolitan area, at Keystone at the Crossing
in Indianapolis, Fishers, Greenwood, Plainfield and Southport. Others are planned for Bloomington and Lafayette, as well as
two in Fort Wayne.
The company currently has five massage centers in the state, all in the Indianapolis area, with two in Carmel, two in Noblesville
and one in Avon.
Founded in 2002, Massage Envy operates 670 centers in 43 states. Those locations that have been open for more than a year
average about $900,000 in annual revenue, the company said.
