A Purdue University-born startup won the $15,000 grand prize Friday at the inaugural Startup Bowl in downtown Indianapolis.

Jon Perl and Oren Shatken, founders of FoundOPS, took first place with their mobile application that offers route optimization, customer-relationship management, data collection and GPS tracking for field-service companies.

The duo was among 12 finalists from across the country who converged on Lucas Oil Stadium to pitch their ideas as part of the first Powder Keg conference.

Matt Hunckler, founder of entrepreneurial networking group Verge, launched the conference in hopes of catapulting Indianapolis onto the national startup scene.

In the video below, IBJ boils down all 12 pitches from the contest, including the presentation by FoundOPS, to find any common themes for budding entrepreneurs.
