The Anderson Police Department has lost its second police dog in as many months. The dog, named Magnum, was shot in the head
Saturday while chasing a bank robbery suspect. He had to be put to sleep Monday morning. The man accused of shooting Magnum,
Joseph Turner, 22, is being held in the Madison County jail. Another Anderson K-9 officer, Kilo, died in July after being
hit during a shootout in Pendleton.
