Indy Motor Speedway to charge for infield parking spots

March 25, 2013

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will now charge for parking inside the famed oval on race days.

Passes for parking inside the third turn for the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 NASCAR race went on sale Monday. Front-row parking spaces cost $75 while additional general parking spaces will sell for $25.

The speedway says all infield parking for the two oval races must be pre-paid. Entry will be allowed only with a parking pass.

Parking passes can be purchased at the IMS ticket office or by calling (800) 822-INDY between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Passes are also available at the IMS website.

Free parking still will be available outside the Speedway.
