Indianapolis-based McIndy Ventures LLC on Wednesday announced the sale to Southern Rock Restaurants LLC, which operated 23 McAlister’s locations in Tennessee, Mississippi and Missouri before its most recent acquisition.
Terms of the transaction, which closed on Nov. 4, were not disclosed.
Led by CEO and managing member Charlie Hensley, McIndy Ventures opened its first McAlister’s in the Indianapolis area in 2002. Other locations are in Brownsburg, Fort Wayne, Kokomo, Muncie and South Bend.
Hensley said in a press release that he plans to pursue other opportunities in the quick-casual dining sector.
Atlanta-based McAlister’s has 337 restaurants in 24 states.
