On a seasonally adjusted basis, the pace of mortgage loan activity fell 10.7 percent for the week ended Dec. 18, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. Rates for 30-year loans were steady for the week at 4.92 percent. Fifteen-year mortgages increased to 4.34 percent from 4.33 percent the previous week.
