M-Plan might be ready to deal: State's No. 2 health insurer talks merger with Ohio firm

M-Plan Inc., Indiana's second-largest health insurer, has entered preliminary talks that could lead to a merger with Ohio's oldest medical insurer. A source familiar with the discussions said they have centered on merging M-Plan's Indianapolisbased parent, The HealthCare Group LLC, with Cleveland-based Medical Mutual of Ohio.
