Wisconsin-based Regal Beloit Corp. plans to open a 376,000-square-foot distribution center in Plainfield, the company announced Tuesday.

The manufacturer has hired Indianapolis-based Browning/Duke Realty to build the "logistics headquarters" on 26 acres of land in AllPoints Midwest industrial park. The facility should be completed this year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Regal Beloit, a maker of electric motors, motion controls and power-generation products, currently leases a 220,000-square-foot warehouse in Indianapolis on West Hanna Avenue.

good, a brand new building. It's awesome to know that the vast amounts of unused warehouse space have been filled.
