Police say a man raped a woman after robbing her husband early Sunday morning near the Fountain Square neighborhood. The
incident happened in the 1100 block of Laurel Street just before 4 a.m. According to the report, the attacker hit the husband
in the head with a stick, “causing a large laceration.” He then took the man’s wallet and hit the wife in
the head before raping her. Police are investigating.
