
Independent Colleges of Indiana has launched a national search for its next CEO after Hans Giesecke left to lead a college in Greece.
MaidenbergThe association represents private colleges and universities around the state, such as the University of Indianapolis, and Butler and Martin universities.
Giesecke had been its president since 2002,
and had served as the supervising officer of the Lilly Endowment
Community Scholarship Program, which awards nearly $18 million a year to nearly 900 Indiana college
students.
Giesecke will begin Sept. 1 as president of Anatolia College,
a college in Greece founded by Congregationalist missionaries in 1886.
Until a replacement is found, Tony Maidenberg, executive vice president of
the association, will serve as interim CEO.
