The Finish Line Inc., 3308 N. Mitthoeffer Road, Indianapolis, www.finishline.com, is a specialty retailer of brand-name athletic and leisure footwear, activewear and accessories. The company operates 640 stores in malls across the United States. It also operates 19 specialty running stores in seven states and Washington, D.C., under The Running Co. banner. In the fiscal first quarter, which ended June 2, 2012, the company earned $12.1 million, or 24 cents per share, on $319.0 million in revenue. In the same period a year earlier, Finish Line earned $16.4 million, or 30 cents per share, on revenue of $289.5 million. Finish Line Class A shares trade on NASDAQ under the ticker FINL. The company also had Class B shares until July 20, 2012, on which date all of those shares converted into an equal number of Class A shares.
