Residents on Indianapolis’ south side say they're not done fighting a proposed landfill expansion in Decatur Township.
The development commission approved a request to rezone land near Kentucky Avenue and Interstate 465, close to the White River.
An existing landfill would be expanded by more than 200 acres. South Side Landfill Inc. said it will install a berm, slurry
wall and a buffer zone of agricultural land to keep trash residue from leaking into the river. The issue heads to the City-County
Council.
