Indianapolis Airport Authority Board President Michael Stayton is resigning.
Stayton made the decision despite having two years left on his contract. According to Fox59, Stayton said he want to spend
more time with his family.
An airport authority spokesman said Stayton informed Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard of his plans to resign after the November
election, in which Ballard won his second term in office. Stayton was appointed to his position by Ballard.
The resignation will become effective after the authority's January board meeting.
Prior to joining the airport, Stayton spent seven years as chief of staff and chief operating officer for the United Nations
World Food Program.
