IBJ Letters To The Editor

Kudos to Bill Benner for his fine [April 4] column about a fine team, the Butler Bulldogs. Despite the outcome, our city has reason to be proud.

I can’t remember a time when I have seen one event unify so many people—from priests to retired widows to corporate executives. And it was heartening to hear them universally refer to Butler as “we” and “us.”

This team and these young men had an emotional impact on all of us that far exceeded even two trips to the Super Bowl.
