An Arbor, Mich.-based manufacturer is planning a $10 million expansion to its plant south of Indianapolis that will add 35 more employees, it announced Wednesday.

NSK Americas Corp. said strong growth in the automotive optional equipment market has created need for an expansion of its NSK Precision America plant in Franklin. The plant makes motion and control products.

NSK said it will add six new production lines to the plant that will lead to an additional $20 million in sales.

NSK Americas is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based NSK Corp.
