Toronto-based IntraPac Group, a packaging manufacturer for the personal care and pharmaceutical sectors, announced Friday morning that it plans to add 63 jobs in Lawrenceburg by opening a new facility in the southeastern Indiana community.

The company said it will relocate operations from New Jersey to Lawrenceburg and build an 80,000-square-foot facility on seven acres. Construction on the plant began in September and it is expected to be operational in February.

IntraPac has more than 250 employees in North America and plans to begin hiring for manufacturing, clerical and sales positions in Lawrenceburg in December.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. said it will provide IntraPac up to $415,000 in tax credits and up to $150,000 in training grants based on the company’s job-creation plans.

Founded in 2003, IntraPac designs and produces an array of packaging products, including plastic bottles, laminate and tin tubes, deodorant sticks, droppers and specialty coating services.

It also has locations in Virginia and New York, as well as in Costa Rica.
