On The Beat Industry News In Brief

Know an Indiana life sciences company with a nifty cure for diabetes?

Probably not, but competition is getting stiff for those vying for the annual Mira Awards. IT trade group TechPoint is accepting nominations through the close of business March 8. The awards will be presented May 15 at The Westin Indianapolis by CPA and advisory firm BKD LLP.

“Showcasing Indiana’s high-tech success stories helps raise the profile of our entire technology community, and gives would-be entrepreneurs and innovators role models to emulate,” said TechPoint President Jim Jay.

The Mira Awards recognize firms in IT, advanced manufacturing, the life sciences and logistics.
