The Terre Haute airport is angling to get a boost in business from February's Super Bowl in Indianapolis.
Terre Haute International Airport officials distributed brochures and advertisements about the facility and its hangars during
a business aircraft convention this month in Las Vegas.
Airport director Dennis Wiss told the Tribune-Star that National Football League officials say that the 60-mile
trip on Interstate 70 to Indianapolis will be nothing for out-of-state fans to drive during the Super Bowl weekend.
Wiss said he expects the Terre Haute airport could see a good deal of spillover traffic from Indianapolis. He said the more
fans that come to the game, the better it is for the Terre Haute airport.
